NASC 3 will be presenting an educational video on the Physics of the Amusement Park Rides. Each recitation class will be producing a video explaining how important physics concepts, laws and principles are applied in the various rides in the Enchanted Kingdom Amusement Park. The presentation will be held on February 15, 2010.

PHYS 3 will have a Bridge Making Design that focuses on the application of Mechanics in building bridges, an InterLab Quiz Contest that exercises laboratory skills, and Physical Challenges similar to that of Amazing Race wherein the group can only forward to another challenge to finish the race by solving puzzles using Physics concepts. These activities will be held on February 27 from 9:00 – 11:30 AM. PHYS 13 will have its pageant show with its title “King and Queen of Lights” on February 25, 7:00 PM at PSLH-B. The contestants will be adourned by crowns made from LEDs and bulbs using the concepts in electricity. A Question and Answer portion is included to test the knowledge of contestants in Electricity and Magnetism.

PHYS 81 will have its 2nd Physics Congress on March 1. There will be parallel sessions that will discuss the Physics concepts in our everyday activities like walking on the ground, opening bottles and the like.

PHYS 82 has its Preaching Physics 2010. Students will preach Physics, specifically electromagnetism concepts to ordinary people using different teaching or preaching techniques. The said preaching activity will be recorded and then presented in the class on Feb. 26.

APHY 104 will have their exhibit showcasing different Digital Games conceptualized by students from Feb. 23-26. The objective of the exhibit is to explore uses of logic gates in designing and implementing games. This will be an interactive exhibit to be located at the 2nd floor lobby of Physical Sciences Building Wing C.

Physics Fair is held every semester to promote Physics consciousness among individuals and to apply Physics concepts learned in class. The Fair allows students to explore and use Physics concepts in practical life.
