The IMSP Physics Division is the only unit in UPLB that offers expertise in the fields of physics and applied physics. Our staff members are capable of providing services related to physics instruction, research and extension.

The IMSP Physics Division research laboratories offer characterization of advance materials (MATPHY), computer hardware designs including schematics, PCB design and instrument fabrication (CHIP).

The Computational Physics (COMP) research laboratory houses a Beowulf computer cluster. This cluster of computers can be used for solving numerically intensive problems.

The Physics Education (PHYSED) laboratory can help in the development of instructional materials and physics education researches.
